The United States Bishops, in 1999, wrote a pastoral letter about adult faith formation entitled Our Hearts Were Burning Within Us. This letter stressed the importance of paying attention to the faith lives of adults and outlined the many ways our parish communities can intentionally nurture faith in its adult members.
